Introduction & Podcast Overview

Welcome to the latest update on my portfolio. For this assignment, I have produced an individual podcast titled "Systems & Solidarity," which explores the intersection of computer engineering and community advocacy. You can listen to the full episode below via the embedded SoundCloud player.

What to Expect

In this episode, I utilize an educational and review format to examine the operations of Hands of Hope Food Pantry in Edison, NJ. The podcast focuses on the technical "handshake" between information systems and community support. I talk about how data pipelines similar to those I developed for my RU Stealth radar visualization project can be applied to nonprofit logistics to reduce "data lag" and improve inventory reliability.

The episode includes a critical review of the pantry's 501(c)(3) operations at St. James Episcopal Church. I evaluate the strengths of their community-based model while addressing the demographic impact of food insecurity in the Edison area. Although the podcast is a solo production, it draws on the research and diverse perspectives of my Group 5 collaborators to provide a comprehensive look at systemic challenges.
